Two beautiful birds and one fool

I guess birds of a feather flock together. I'm not sure what to think of that fool in the back ground w/ a camera. gobble gobble.

Babycakes first attempt at T-day bird

That was one beautiful bird and juicy. She brined it for six hours w/ some salt, candied ginger, brown sugar, peppercorns, allspice berries and veg stock and then stuffed it w/ apple, onion, cinnamon stick, rosemary, sage and baked it up. It was delicious. Way ta go Babycakes.

tasty bird

This is what goes down when my woman takes over the kitchen. And she wasn't even bare foot.

For those of you who are around my age. Remember when kids played outside and all we did was play cowboys and indians, or something that envolve plastic guns and knifes. Yeah, those were the days. When I was a kid everyone would yell, "Geronimo!", when doing something daring, or dangerous, like jumping their bmx bike off of their buddies roof and into the pool before getting busted by the grandfather of said buddy. Well, with all that said, I couldn't resist this painting. It was purchased at Crackers in Norfolk after a few liberations.

Motorcycle chic

Here's to an old friend, everybody tilt one back.

Enough already

This is how I feel after a month off. Yeah-yeah I'm sure I'll be sorry after I'm back in the daily grind, but fuuuuuuuck man. After 7 years of 50+ hours, lifting, riding and everything else on top of trying to have a life, I have had enough of the free time. I'm staying busy, but you need work to make you appreciate your time off. I guess you never miss your water til the well runs dry, there is no good without evil, no light without dark, no love without hate, no peace without war. You know the ole yin and yang. I think it would be great to work about 31/2 days, or 4 short days. Anything would be better than the 8:30 to 8:30 schedule the Conte's wanted me to work. But, thats all behind me. I actually start training this Sunday and should officially start the day after turkey day. So long life of leisure, so long fountain of energy back to the rat race so I can enjoy my time off and have something to bitch about. hallelujah!

Wes Cheney you lucky bastard

I went to the Tidewater Mountain Bike Challenge a few weeks back and was in the field the sat. before the race. JB, Carrie and I had rode a pre-race lap and were all packing up. I looked down amongst the horse shit on the ground and found this great ipod. whoa eee jackpot! Well, a couple of weeks later I remembered it in the glovebox. Listened to some great mix music and then it died. I went to charge the thing up and at first it wouldn't let me. After downloading an ipod update and trying again a name popped up that seemed familiar. Yeap, your guessed it. Wes Cheney. So, if you guys see Wes tellum I got it and to shoot me a line.

the grill

We got a new grill and it is small and awesome. The Patio Caddie from Char-broil fits perfectly in small places. Its cooking surface is a little small, but whata ya gonna do. You can easily cook enough meat for four people, but the veggies will have to wait, or be done inside. Hey, how bout a salad.

I am feeling pretty again

oh so pretty.

Can anyone guess who the bitch is?

He looks a little frightened don't you think?

Her First Crash

We are all so proud of her first crash. She laid quietly for a few frightening moments, yet survived the tragedy with minor bruises and an extreme need for a shower. But, we are all excited about her quick recovery and willingness to do another lap.

Blazin Baby Cakes

Check out the fall colors.

alcohol isn't good for me?

Carrie (my wife and one of va. bch. finest nurses), was breaking the news to me about how alcohol is bad for me and drinking and driving isn't how the kids learn to drive anymore. I didn't take it very well.

Life in the fast lane

The last month has flown bye. I left Conte's after seven years, raced Tidewater Mountain Bike Challenge, rode my mtb more than I had in the last two years, went to Roanoke Va. and Ferrum College to visit my almamater, read several books, made two batches of hot sauce, became an uncle, petitioned a judge to allow me to perform my ole buddies marriage ceremony and did so. I also shared a huge loss to the community and her friends, hell the whole world as far as I am concerned. Jan worked for Operation Smile for the last six years and before that Hope House. She loved to ride motorcycles, go to rock shows, dance, drink budweiser, and most of all smile. She had had some health problems, but the doctors had said she was cancer free. A few spots were found two weeks ago and it was all too aggressive. Life is sweet and oh so short. Rock and Roll Motherfucker!

Creamy white coconuts

I feel pretty so so pretty.

The previous nights champion

The night before the "walk of shame", Rob was a mans man and then some. Ironically feeling like a champion Rob was practicing his victory over Jeremiah Bishop. Remember kiddies it was about 38 degrees and very windy that night. Some things are just worth the sacrifice.

Tidewater Mountain Bike walk of shame.

My ole buddy Rob Tripp aka Party Master, had a few TOO many the night before and Babycakes caught this "walk of shame", after Rob aka "a new shade of green", dnf'd the single speed race. God love you Rob Tripp and little baby Jesus.

The Grooms nervous night before

The top picture was the results of an exhausting day of debauchery. And you can see where it got him.

Rev. Jim

Little did you guys know that I am a man of the cloth. Yeap, here I am in Richmond, Va. helping my ole buddy James jump off a cliff. Check out the brides expression. Remember kids, this one is suppose to be until you DIE.

Roanoke Valley

Babycakes chillin at the star on Millmountain overlooking the valley.

Mill Mountain

This is at the top of Mill Mountain in Roanoke, Va. I went to college about 40 miles from here. It is a beautiful part of Va. Roanoke is a quiet little city as far as cities go. Lots of great mountain and road riding. Some of va.'s most beautiful land scape and very low crime rates. The houses and property are 1/4 of what you pay here at the beach. Maybe a simpler life, we'll see.

pole dance

Stevo, Rob and Crab Cake are showing off their new pole. Rob seems to have a career, or atleast the ability to suppliment his income.
